Signing Off

Hello,

It's been almost exactly a year since my last post, so I think it's safe to say I won't be posting any longer on this blog. I have moved on to other activities, namely fiction writing. I still practice Christian Science and always will, yet my spiritual journey has shifted to being more private.

While I am no longer available for spiritual consultation, I will leave the blog content up for anyone to browse and share if they like. I will still see any comments, although I may not respond.

If you would like to follow what I'm doing currently, I can be found at twitter.com/thinkStory. Note however that my Twitter feed is not spiritual in nature. It's more my work as an author and editor, along with good information and resources for writers.

This blog has been a privilege, and it met my spiritual need for many years when I was journeying in the wilderness. I'm glad to say I'm home now! I'm grateful I was able to touch some lives with my writing, and I extend heartfelt thanks to all who showed an interest and were so incredibly supportive.

Much love always.

Laura

You've been missed and you'll certainly still be missed - but thank you for the time that you dedicated to the blog! The posts were consistently thoughtful, inspirational, though provoking and otherwise remarkably timely. That said, I guess I'll just start at the beginning of the archives again ;-) All the best with your writing! Do let us know if you find any other CS bloggers that might help to fill the void =)

Laura,

I wish you well. I will be speaking about my book on prayer research this Christmas night on the Coast to Coast radio show.

I will be on the first hour of Coast to Coast AM on Saturday Christmas night, the 25th. Just found out.

About bloggers, we have something new in Chicago. An informal group of Christian Scientists who get together to share, learn, and have some social contact that has been missing for some. Our last meeting had forty people attend, many of whom I didn't know existed before. See http://whatishappeningchicago.wordpress.com/about/

Best,
Bill Sweet author of "A Journey Into Prayer."

Hi, Bill, thanks for the update! I've heard about the CS group out there from my mom, she loves it.

Have a great time on the radio,

Merry Christmas,
Laura

Hi Laura, I've just found your blog--so sorry it's at the end of this part of your journey. I have thought of you so often over the years--and I'm glad to hear that you are moving into such a creative and inspiring area of writing. I hope to cross paths with you somewhere at some point--even if only cyberly. Wishing you all the very best. Please stop by my blog any time. I'd love to hear from you!

Hello Laura,
I too am new to your blog having found it in an Internet search. I've been encouraged to publish or post my own ideas and thought a blog might be a good avenue, but realize it cannot be done with an expectation of feedback. It is truly casting one's bread upon the waters. Be assured a few crumbs reached a grateful me. Many are still afloat ready to feed some hungering heart upon discovery. Your inspiring ideas are but a drop in the ocean. No one can sail it all, but you have floated my boat. Many thanks. Michael.

Thanks for your note, Michael, and welcome. I'm glad to know this blog is still reaching people. Take good care, and if you ever want to talk with anyone, the "fellow bloggers" in the right column might point you in the right direction.

Warmly,
Laura
